One, tapered roller bearing failure reasons
The mechanism of rolling fatigue is very complex, including maximum static shear stress theory and maximum dynamic shear stress theory. Both of these theories believe that the repeated action of shear stress under the surface produces tiny cracks at the defects such as non-metallic inclusions, and then extends to the surface to produce fatigue spalling. Early fatigue spalling is an abnormal failure form of bearings. The causes of fatigue failure are many and complex. There are mainly the following factors:
1, bearing itself factors, such as improper bearing clearance, poor lubrication, lubricant is not appropriate;
2. The accuracy of the shaft and bearing box is not good, the rigidity of the bearing box is uneven, and the deflection of the shaft is large;
3, poor installation;
4, the load is too large;
5, foreign body into, such as water, particle impurities.
Two, tapered roller bearing failure prevention measures
In view of the failure mode of tapered roller bearings, in order to ensure the performance of bearings and prolong the life of bearings, the following aspects of work will greatly reduce the occurrence of such problems.
1. On the premise that bearing and shaft meet the requirements, pay attention to the selection of bearing and shaft matching accuracy;
2, during the installation process to avoid the entry of water, hard particles and other foreign bodies;
3, select the appropriate lubrication mode and lubricant;
4, select the appropriate pre-load, to avoid excessive pre-load caused by abnormal bearing heating or too small caused by the whole equipment is not rigid enough, rotation accuracy is not qualified
