Butyl rubber IIR
Butyl Rubber will be the polymerization of isobutene and a small amount of isoprenes, with a small amount of unsaturated base for sulfur, because the movement of the three-dimensional obstacle molecules of methyl group is less than other polymers, so the gas permeability is less, the resistance of heat, sunlight, ozone, electrical insulation is good; Resistance to polar solvents such as alcohol, ketone, ester, etc., the general use of temperature range is -54~110 ℃.
Advantages:
· Impermeable to most general gases
· Good resistance to sunlight and ozone
· May be exposed to animal or vegetable oils or oxidized chemicals
Disadvantages:
· It is not intended to be used with petroleum solvents, colloidal kerosene and aromatic hydrogen. · Rubber parts for chemical resistance and vacuum equipment.
Hydrogenated nitrile butadiene gum HNBR
Hydrogenate Nitrile (Hydrogenate Nitrile) is a Nitrile rubber in which part of the double chain is removed by hydrogenation. After hydrogenation, its temperature resistance and weather resistance are much higher than that of ordinary Nitrile rubber, and its oil resistance is similar to that of ordinary Nitrile rubber. Generally, the temperature range is -25~150 ℃.
Advantages:
· Better wear resistance than nitrile adhesive
· Excellent resistance to corrosion, tension, tear and compression deflection
· Good resistance to ozone, sunlight and other atmospheric conditions
· Generally suitable for washing or dish washing detergent
Disadvantages:
· Not recommended for use with alcohol, ester or aromatic solutions. · Air conditioning cooling industry, widely used in environmental protection refrigerant R134a system seals.
· Automotive engine system seals.
3-20 EPDM
Ethylene propylene Rubber (Ethylene and propylene co-polymerization of the main chain is not double chain, so heat resistance, aging resistance, ozone resistance and stability are very good, but it can not Ethylene and sulfur. To solve this problem, a small amount of the third component of the double chain is introduced into the main chain of EP, which can be added to sulfur to form EPDM. The temperature range of EPDM is -50~150 ℃. Excellent resistance to polar solvents such as alcohol, ketone, ethylene glycol and phosphate lipid hydraulic oil.
Advantages:
· Good weather resistance and ozone resistance
· Excellent resistance to water and chemicals
· Alcohols and ketones can be used
· High temperature steam resistance, good impermeability to gases
Disadvantages:
· Not recommended for food use or exposure to aromatic hydrogen. · Seals for high temperature water vapor environment.
· Sanitary equipment seals or parts.
· Rubber parts in brake (brake) system.
· Seals in radiator (car water tank).
Nitrile rubber NBR
Nitrile Rubber is made by copolymerization of acrylonitrile and butadiene. The content of acrylonitrile ranges from 18% to 50%. The higher the content of acrylonitrile, the better the resistance to hydrocarbon fuel oil of petrochemical oil, but the low temperature performance deteriorates. Nitrile rubber is one of the most commonly used rubber for oil seal and O-ring.
Advantages:
· Good resistance to oil, water, solvent and high pressure oil.
· Good compression deflection, wear resistance and elongation.
Disadvantages:
· Not suitable for use in polar solvents such as ketones, ozone, nitro hydrocarbons, MEK and chloroform. · Rubber parts, especially sealing parts, used in fuel tanks, lubricating oil tanks, and fluid media such as petroleum hydraulic oil, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil, diester lubricating oil, and ethylene glycol hydraulic oil. It can be said that the most widely used, the lowest cost rubber seals.
Neoprene CR
Chloroprene (Neoprene, Polychloroprene) is synthesized by polymerization of chloroprene monomer. The vulcanized rubber has good elastic wear resistance, is not afraid of direct sunlight, has particularly good atmospheric aging resistance, is not afraid of intense distortion, is not afraid of dichlorodifluoromethyl methane and ammonia and other refrigerants, is resistant to thin acid, silicone ester lubricating oil, but is not resistant to phosphate ester hydraulic oil. It is easy to crystallize and harden at low temperature, has poor storage stability, and has a large expansion in mineral oil with low aniline point. Generally, the temperature range is -50~150 ℃
Advantages:
· Good elasticity and compression deformation.
· The formula contains no sulfur and is therefore very easy to make
· Anti-animal and vegetable oil properties
· It will not be affected by neutral chemicals, esters, fats, oils and solvents
· With fire prevention characteristics
Disadvantages:
· The use of strong acids, nitrocellulose hydrocarbons, esters, chloroforms and ketones is not recommended. · Seals resistant to R12 refrigerant. · Rubber parts or seals for household appliances.
· Suitable for making all kinds of parts in direct contact with atmosphere, sunlight and ozone.
· Suitable for all kinds of rubber products with fire resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.
