The unique size ratio of thin-wall bearings makes some common gauges practically unfeasible. Because even small pressures are sufficient to cause thin wall deformation, the usual two-point inside and outside diameter measurements cannot be used. Jet pneumatic measuring tools and other close measuring tools should also pay attention to the bearing disturbance in an acceptable level, so as not to lead to measurement errors. Sufficient measurement points must be taken to ensure that an accurate average is obtained, not the average of the maximum and minimum values. The roundness of thin-wall bearings in the free state may exceed ABMA's requirements for this degree of accuracy. The bearing rings do not cause problems because they return to normal immediately when installed into the shaft and mounting holes of the circle.
Measuring radial clearance of type C bearing inner ring radial runout thin wall bearing is controlled by bearing ring and ball matching, for which the measuring instrument is specially designed.
