1. Seals: materials or parts that prevent fluid or solid particles from leaking from adjacent joint surfaces and prevent external impurities such as dust and water from intruding into the internal parts of machinery and equipment.

 

2. Oil seal: the common name of general seals is simply the sealing of lubricating oil.

 

Two, different matters needing attention

 

1. Seals:

 

(1) Before designing the groove, please read the manual of each series of products, and make clear that the product adopts the whole groove or separate groove; The process of installing seals should pay attention to avoid sharp edges, holes with seals into the overall groove must use installation tools; Designers should consider the dimensional accuracy of the groove, surface roughness, extrusion clearance, etc. Refer to product description, chart and size table for details.

 

(2) Before installing seals, ensure that there are no impurities and cracks in the sealing groove. Sealing groove and sealing groove surface should be coated with working oil respectively. Seals should be installed step by step in sequence. During installation, sharp edges should be avoided and seals should be concentrated to avoid deformation and deviation. If the grooves are separated, the covers should be tightened finally.

 

2. Oil seal:

 

(1) Preparation and precautions before startup

B. Static pressure test is carried out before the mechanical seal begins to check whether there is leakage of the mechanical seal. If there are more leaks, we should find out the cause and try to eliminate them. If it still does not work, disassemble, inspect and reinstall it. The general hydrostatic test pressure is 2-3 kg/cm2.
