Cleaning of ceramic bearings

 

When disassembling the ceramic bearing for inspection, first record the appearance of the ceramic bearing, confirm the residual amount of lubricant, sample the lubricant used for inspection, and wash the ceramic bearing. As cleaning agent, gasoline and kerosene are commonly used.

 

The cleaning of the unloaded ceramic bearings is divided into coarse cleaning and fine cleaning, which are respectively placed in the container. The metal mesh bottom is put first, so that the ceramic bearings do not directly contact the dirt of the container. When rough cleaning, if the ceramic bearing rotates with dirt, it will damage the moving surface of the ceramic bearing, which should be paid attention to. In the crude cleaning oil, use a brush to remove grease, sticky matter, roughly clean, into fine washing.

 

Fine washing is to rotate the ceramic bearing in the cleaning oil while carefully cleaning it. In addition, cleaning oil should always be kept clean.

 

Ceramic bearings are mainly used in special environments, such as acid-base, high temperature and low cold, oil-free self-lubrication, and magneto-electric insulation. In order to make the service life of bearings longer, no matter what type of bearings need regular maintenance.

 

There are two types of wheel components of ceramic bearings:

 

1. Pure ceramic bearings, the internal lubrication oil is not added, some pure ceramic bearings have no sealing ring, and some have sealing ring. Even if a little dust enters, it will not affect its lubrication performance.

 

2. Mixed ceramic bearings are generally added with grease of different properties (see customer needs). After riding a certain mileage or time, it is necessary to maintain, remove the sealing ring of the bearing, clean the dirty oil inside with the corresponding cleaning product, and then reload the grease.
