What material does the sliding bearing use?

The commonly used bearing bush materials are divided into metallic materials and non-metallic materials.
(1) Cast iron. Ordinary gray cast iron or wear-resistant gray cast iron with nickel, chromium and titanium alloy components, or ductile cast iron, can be used as the material of light load and low speed bearing bush. In these materials, flake or spherical graphite components can form a lubricating graphite layer after covering the surface of the material. A porous thin layer can be formed on the surface of wear resistant cast iron after phosphating treatment, which is helpful to improve its wear resistance.
(2) bearing alloy. (usually Babbitt alloy or white alloy) sliding bearing alloy is divided into two categories: one is tin as the basic component, adding the right amount of antimony and copper, called tin-based bearing alloy, such as ZCHSNSB11-6; The other type is based on lead as the basic component, adding appropriate amounts of tin and antimony, called lead bearing alloy, such as ZCNPBSN16-16.
(3) Copper alloy. Copper alloys can be divided into: cast lead bronze; Cast tin-zinc-lead bronze; Cast tin phosphor bronze; Cast aluminum bronze; Cast brass.
(4) Aluminum alloy. It is divided into two categories: low tin aluminum alloy, containing about 6.5% tin; High tin aluminum alloy, containing 20% tin.
(5) Ceramic metal. This is the bearing bush material made of different metal powders by pressing and sintering. This material is porous structure, the pores account for about 10%~35% of the volume, before use in hot oil immersion, so that the pores are full of lubricating oil, it has self-lubricity, also known as oil bearing, sliding bearing.
(6) Graphite. Graphite bearing bush can be pure graphite, its strength is low; Plastics, resins, silver, copper or babbitt alloys can also be added to increase strength and improve adaptability.
