Characteristics and types of thin wall cross roller bearings

SINO BEARINGSMay 31, 2022
Cross rollers are arranged perpendicular to each other using spacer between the inner and outer rings because the cylindrical rollers form a right Angle to the v-groove rolling surface. This design allows the cross roller to bear loads from all directions at the same time such as radial, axial, torque and momentum loads. Because the roller is in linear contact with the track surface, the possibility of elastic deformation of the bearing under load is very small. Cross roller bearings are widely used in industrial automatic robots, work mechanical arms and medical equipment, etc., in need of high rigidity, tight and high-speed operation can still ensure accurate occasions, cross roller can meet its conditions
2. Cross roller bearing features: high bearing capacity, good rigidity, high rotary accuracy, easy installation.

Cross roller bearings mainly include: integral type, outer ring separation type, inner ring separation type. For anti-fouling and anti-oil leakage needs, sealing rings can be installed on both sides of the bearing.

RB type: The size of RB type inner and outer ring is minimized, its structure is divided by outer ring 2, and the inner ring is an integral design. It is most suitable for occasions requiring high precision of inner ring rotation.

RE type: RE type is produced by the design concept of RB type. The inner ring is divided into 2 parts and the outer ring is formed as one. It is most suitable for occasions requiring high precision of outer ring rotation.

RA type: RA type is a cross roller bearing made of thin and light weight with the wall thickness of inner and outer rings, and the outer ring is divided into two parts. It is fixed by rivets to form a non-separate type. This type of cross-roller bearing is small and can bear loads, so the bearing seat or side compression flange can be lightweight, best suited for rotating joints such as the arm part of the robot
