Characteristics and types of thin wall bearings

SINO BEARINGSMay 31, 2022
Thin-wall bearing is suitable for modern machinery to compact, simplified and lightweight rotary mechanism design requirements, with small volume, light weight and low friction characteristics. Widely used in aerospace, precision machine tools, work turntable, radar communication, industrial robots, semiconductor processing equipment, medical equipment and other fields, can significantly reduce the weight of equipment, reduce equipment friction, and provide good rotation accuracy.

2. Thin-wall bearings are mainly divided into three types:

1, radial contact (L type)

2. Angular contact (M type)

3. Four-point contact (N type)

The rings in these series of bearings are mainly made of bearing steel and stainless steel.

3. Characteristics of thin-wall bearing:

Thin-wall bearings are different from standard bearings. In thin-wall bearings, the cross section size in each series is designed as a fixed value. In the same series, the cross section size is constant, and it does not increase with the increase of internal size. Therefore, this series of thin wall bearings is also called equal section thin wall bearings. By using the same series of thin-wall bearings, designers can standardize common parts that are the same.

Thin-wall bearings with large inner holes and small cross sections can use hollow shafts with large diameters to replace solid shafts with small diameters. Air, water pipes and electric wires can be provided through hollow shafts, making the design more concise.

Thin-wall bearings can save space, reduce weight, significantly reduce friction, and provide good rotation accuracy. Without affecting bearing performance and service life, the use of thin-wall bearings can reduce the external size of the design and reduce production costs
