A landmark €40 million investment illustrating the European company’s industrial, technological and environmental ambition, with its headquarters based in France.

On 9th July 2026, NTN Europe officially opened its new headquarters in Annecy (France). More than a new building, this project embodies the transformation undertaken by the Group to strengthen its industrial capabilities and regional footprint while accelerating research, innovation and development to support the changing needs of industry.

Designed as a place for collaboration, innovation and sustainable performance, the new headquarters, located on the company’s historic Annecy site, reflects NTN Europe’s commitment to supporting major industrial transformations. It forms part of a broader investment strategy addressing the challenges of electrification, digitalisation, automation and energy efficiency through the development of high-precision solutions. This momentum is also reflected locally, particularly through the strengthening of the Argonay aerospace site, where targeted investments support innovation and high-technology applications.

A headquarters designed for the future

Located on the company’s historic site, where it has operated since 1916, the new headquarters reflects NTN Europe’s commitment to continuing its development in France while modernising its infrastructure. Covering more than 10,000 m2 and accommodating up to 650 employees, the building brings together the Group’s central functions, operational teams and the Research, Innovation & Development Centre.

Inspired by the Japanese concept of Nameraka, expressing greater fluidity between people, technology and organisations, the building has been designed to encourage interaction, creativity and collective efficiency. It includes collaborative spaces, a central atrium, quiet work areas, terraces and digital tools that support evolving ways of working.

Innovation as a driver of growth

At NTN Europe, innovation lies at the heart of the company’s development strategy. It is a key driver of competitiveness serving sustainable mobility, the factory of the future, electrification, digitalisation and aerospace.

The Research, Innovation & Development Centre plays a pivotal role by bringing together research, engineering and industrial applications to accelerate the development of innovative solutions and rapidly transform customer needs into practical answers.

Through this approach, NTN Europe reaffirms its determination to build sustainable growth founded on technical excellence, anticipation of future needs and mastery of major industrial transitions.

A showcase for sustainable industry

The new headquarters fully supports NTN Europe’s environmental roadmap and is targeting BREEAM Very Good and BBCA certification. Designed to demanding environmental and energy performance standards, it incorporates 520 m2 of photovoltaic panels, a predominantly timber structure, a bioclimatic design optimising thermal performance, a rainwater harvesting system and a sawtooth roof promoting natural daylight and ventilation.

The project also includes the planting of 130 trees, biodiversity-friendly landscaping, almost 110 bicycle parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points.

Ultimately, the building will reduce energy consumption by 70%, water consumption by 50% and CO2 emissions by 380 tonnes per year.

Rethinking tomorrow’s ways of working

The new headquarters also supports a profound transformation and modernisation of working practices. Designed to provide a flexible and attractive environment, it encourages crossfunctional collaboration, innovation and employee well-being. This transformation is supported by a dedicated programme focused on team support, management training and the development of collaborative practices.

Created in 2019, this initiative aims to train, recruit and retain talent to prepare the industry of tomorrow. It offers training programmes focused on sector-specific skills while promoting diversity of backgrounds and equal opportunities.
